So, how did you go? Reflect on the experience….
I already had a small bio done for my website and another used in magazine articles. After Claire read mine she suggested it should be read to the class (last task in class). My very mild use of humour was approved but the ending of my bio was terrible (i did write it on the spot that day and have now since fixed it up. The general jist was there).
I had to read resumes and look at portfolios at my old job when we were hiring a new designer. And none of them stood out, unless they added some personality to their resume/folio.
I want my bio to be straight forward and concise and avoid over descriptive words of my work. I work digitally. I work fast. I din’t have any meaningful method to my process.
